thunderbird sometimes crashes when deleting selected text with delete key
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; FreeBSD i386; en-US; rv:188.8.131.52) Gecko/20060221 Firefox/184.108.40.206 Build Identifier: version 1.5 (20060222) sometimes my Thunderbird 1.5 crashes when I compose a new message (or reply) and many times select and delete chunks of text using delete key. I have a default plain text composition mode. Reproducible: Sometimes
the crash is SIGSEGV, meaningful portion of stack trace is attached (no debugging symbols)
Andriy, could you download and/or compile Thunderbird 220.127.116.11? I have reason to believe that this bug has been fixed in this version.

Adam, sorry for the delay with reply, I just wanted to be sure that I tried hard enough to crash thunderbird before I report the good news. The problem seems to be fixed in 18.104.22.168. No crashes for several weeks now.
