I would like to specify a rule that puts return-receipts from people who use Lotus Notes into a separate folder, as I do for other return-receipts. The problem is that those return-receipts only have two things that are different from other messages. One is the words "Return Receipt" in the message body, the other is a missing "X-Mailer:" header. I cannot create a filter for either condition.

I understand that IMAP makes it difficult to search the message body, and that is accounted for in another bug report (which is way overdue, BTW). The only thing left for me to do is create a rule for the absence of a header that I can logically AND with other rules.

I think there are problems with IMAP filtering with nonstandard headers, but I could be wrong about that.  You should be able to create a filter on X-Mailer, tho -- you have to add that header to the list, is all: In the Filter Rules dialog, there's a Customize option at the bottom of the criteria header dropdown list.
