If I suffered a problem, my mail would still be there on the separate drive. I think that keeping it in Documents and Settings is a bad idea and we should at least have the option of relocating it. The Server Settings page for each mail account has a Local Directory setting which both shows you where the mail currently is and allows you to point to a different directory, altho you have to move the mail files to the new directory manually.
