When I log onto thunderbird I cannot get it to work as my default client. I have set it in the registry and every other possible way. I have looked at all the web help and tried every fix. When I try to use an e-mail link on the web I get about 100 boxes and each one said e-mail client not installed properly? I really like thunderbird but I cannot use it if I cannot link to e-mails.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.log onto thunderbird
2.or link to any e-mail address on the web
3.
Actual Results:
When logging onto thunderbird I get a message thunderbird not your default mail client would you like to make it your default.
When linking to an e-mail of the web I get about a hundred boxes that come up and say my mail client is not properly installed.

Reporter, does the issue still occur in the latest supported 2.0.0.x / Shredder trunk nightlies?
(1.5.0.x is now end-of-life and the latest supported 2.0.0.x is 2.0.0.16)
