The contacts (& email addresses) at the top of the page need to be updated.

alec, do you know if there are new contacts, or if the footprint facility is even still operational?

The "footprints facility" was not so much a facility as it was an effort by a bunch of engineers working across the codebase. Darin Fisher and Doug Turner were the last people I know doing work there. I wish I could say I was still working on it too...

Copying choffman and dougt.  If the Footprint project directory on www.mozilla.org is no longer being used, I'd like to remove those pages from the repository.  All links will automatically send people to the relevant pages on the archive sites in case any one is looking for this content.

If these pages are still being used, we should consider moving the documentation over to MDC so that it will be easier for people to update.

yeah, ok to remove.  keeping the copy around on archive is a good idea if anyone is ever interested in reviving some of the older tools and ideas and putting them back into service, or understand the approaches taken for some of the earlier versions of the tools.
