User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.3) Gecko/20060426 Firefox/1.5.0.3 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.3) Gecko/20060426 Firefox/1.5.0.3 After downloading and installing 1.5.0.3 on 2 Dell laptops (Inspiron and XPS), every time Firefox is opened, the original tabs that were open when I shut down this version the first time reappear every time I open Firefox. Same on both computers. Yet if Firefox is not open and I click on a URL in an e-mail, Firefox opens afresh with only the selected URL, no additional tabs. (Both PCs are running XP SP2 with the latest Patch Tuesday updates.) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Firefox from an icon or firefox.exe from Explorer to produce the tabs that were open when I shut down Firefox immediately after installing 1.5.0.3. 2. Open Firefox by clicking on a URL in an e-mail with Firefox closed to produce expected behavior. 3. Actual Results: 1. The same tabs that were open when I shut down Firefox the first time after downloading 1.5.0.3. 2. Normal behavior. Expected Results: Home page, no addiitonal tabs open It should have just opened to the Home screen, one tab only.
This maybe because of the new session feature in Patch Tuesday. INVALID.

Charli, since he is using a release version of Firefox it is certainly not to do with that. Please dont close bugs unless you have properly read the reporter's original description. Al, please go to tools, options, general and copy the text from the locations box here.

Ah-Ha! For some reason it won't copy/paste, but all the offending URLs are there, separated by the pipe (|) symbol! I deleted the other five and all is well. (I guess I never know what caused it.) Thanks for the insight!

(In reply to comment #3) > (I guess I never know what caused it.) If you have multiple tabs open when you set Firefox's homepage it will use all those tabs as the homepage.

From my perspective: DOH!!! Anyway, do whatever y'all can to make the next Firefox better than the upcoming IE 7 (or whatever it's called) !
