Don't know if to classify as bug or feature request...
Setting message filter to "delete message" should really just _delete_ it, not move to trash. If I wanted that behaviour I would explicitely select "move message" and then "to trash".

Steps to Reproduce:
see short details
Actual Results:  
thrash folder fills up rapidly, "hides" my accidentally deleted important messages

Expected Results:  
message filter "delete message" should really delete it, not move to trash
vote for bug 160021 :)
