can not use FAYT in top page of yahoo.com


Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open http://www.yahoo.com/
2. Type "/" to start FAYT

Actual Results:  
"/" is input into search box

using Fx 1.5.0.3 / win32, WFM on yahoo.com.

but reproducible on yahoo.co.jp. 
turning off JavaScript, FAYT works with "/" trigger.

over to JP evang bug? or is this repro with trunk on yahoo.com?

I see this in Bon Echo 2.0a2/winxp as well.

They have a keydown handler that will focus the input when a key in pressed which is a reasonable choice from their point of view and I doubt they would be willing to remove it although they might agree to not focus and not prevent the default if the key is /.

Another possibility is to invoke FAYT regardless of a page's key event handlers.

The only way to invoke F.A.Y.T on the main page og yahoo.co/yahoo.it is to hit F3

This is absolutely NOT fixed if FAYT is put into autostart mode; I would love for someone to explain how or why it might be. The keypress handler is still in the page code.
