Couldn't find this rfe.
It would be very great to have automatically added greeting and to new, replayed and forwarded messages. The Bat! has this great feature that makes life easyer.

I have made an extension that lets you insert predefined texts with the click of a button or with shortcuts. It was not possible to insert the predefined texts automatical when the composewindow was opened. But today I got bug 324574 commited. So in the next version of Quicktext it will be possible to do what you want. You find the extension here: http://extensions.hesslow.se/quicktext
