Using 2000-03-29-09m15 commercial builds When you double-click on a folder to open to a second mail window, an expanded twisty appears next to the folder (top level folder, no subfolders). This twisty will sometimes linger into the next mail session. 1. Go to mail window, select default account inbox, login and get messages. 2. Select a folder in the same hierarchy. Double-click it to open to a second mail window. Result: An expanded twisty appears next to the folder and stays there even if the second mail window is closed. Sometimes the twisty(ies) will stay through exit. Note: doesn't happen when using context menu item to open in new window.

This is happening because double clicking on a tree item causes it to expand. Since we remember the expand/collapse state, when we open a new winow it gets the expanded folder. The opposite should happen too if you double click on an open folder. David, is there a way to override the fact that double clicking opens up the twisty? Since double clicking for us means to open a folder in a new window and to open a message in a new window we don't want the clicked item to expand.

The expanded twisty also appears next to the folder if you left-click left to the folder name.
