User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20060528 Minefield/3.0a1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20060528 Minefield/3.0a1 After downloading and installing the latest nightly build of Minefield/Firefox 3.0a1 (uninstalled all previous versions of Firefox), firefox.exe uses around 99% of the CPU at any time and when viewing any page (even when idling). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Download and install firefox-3.0a1.en-US.win32.installer.exe nightly build from 28-May-2006 12:52 2.Start Programme 3.Open Task Manager Actual Results: firefox.exe starts using almost all CPU power immediately Expected Results: firefox.exe starts using a lot less CPU power I've forced several Plugins to work with this version, namely: Adblock 0.5.3.042, ColorZilla 0.8.3.1, Crash Recovery 0.6.8, FootieFox 1.0.3, Html Validator 0.7.9, IE Tab 1.0.9, QuickFrame 0.2.2 and a small toolbar I created myself (source available if needed). System Stats: AMD Athlon XP 2600+, 1GB DDR Ram
No problems here. Try loading up in safe mode and see if you can reproduce it from there.
Safe mode produced the same results until I've completely disabled all incompatible plugins, seems like that was the problem.
