I tried to add google to the search box, but it isn't an option. I then tried to add ESPn to the search section and it wouldn't load.

Reproducible: Always

Actual Results:  
I enter a search term, press enter and nothing happens.
Are there any search engines in the dropdown? Can you try following the instructions at http://kb.mozillazine.org/Search_engines_disappear_from_Search_Bar ?
