User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.1) Gecko/20060130 SeaMonkey/1.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.1) Gecko/20060130 SeaMonkey/1.0 Find As You Type ignores spaces, searching for the string entered without spaces. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Press / to start Find As You Type 2. Type in one word found on the page, e.g. "target" on this page - it will be found 3. Press space and start to type the next word, e.g. " mil" (of Milestone) Actual Results: The browser does not continue matching, and the status bar notes that the text not found is the string you typed, without the space (Text not found: "targetmil"). Expected Results: "target mil" is matched as part of "Target Milestone". Mozilla 1.7 behaved correctly in this manner.
Of course, since I have included the string "targetmil" in the description, "targetmil" will in fact match.. should have thought of that. "Assigned" and " To" will work acceptably.
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20060519 SeaMonkey/1.5a Works for me.

Do you see this with a clean profile? Do you have any extensions installed?

Hrm.. it still occurred with a clean profile, but then a clean install fixed it (even when using my old profile), so it seems like some extension in the browser rather than user chrome was responsible. Since I have most of my extensions installed per user, and I've not installed any associated with find features, it's a bit of a mystery. Works for me now though.
