User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040910 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8.0.3) Gecko/20060426 In Firefox for Macintosh, if a page containing plugin content is reloaded, or two consecutive pages containing content for the same plugin are displayed, the plugin can crash. It appears that the plugin "shutdown" and "initialize" routines are being called, but the plugin binary is not being unloaded and reloaded. This causes global variables to not be initialized to their default values, leading to accesses of already-freed memory locations. This has been confirmed in Firefox 1.0.8, 1.5.0.1, and 1.5.0.3 for Macintosh. It has not been observed in Firefox for Windows. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install the TestGen plugin (I'm using version 7.3, it should happen in all earlier versions as well). 2. Open the "Test the plugin" page. 3. Either click the 'reload' button or the 'check plugin version' button. Actual Results: The plugin accesses an invalid memory location and crashes. Expected Results: The page reloads and the plugin displays correctly.

To be honest, this really looks like a bug in the plugin itself. Is this plugin available for other browsers? If so, does it crash in Safari?

The TestGen plugin was modified over a year ago to no longer include the newline in the description; I don't know if the bug in Mozilla/Firefox was ever fixed.
