I have an external USB 2 drive that I would like all my FF downloads to be saved to. Setting the download folder to /Volumes/<MYUSBDRIVE/downloads results in the downloads actually being saved to the desktop and not to the folder on the external drive.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Set FF to download all files to a folder on a USB drive.
2. Download a file.
3. See that it's on the Desktop instead of the specified folder.

Actual Results:  
File was saved to the desktop instead of to the folder I have set in my preferences.

Expected Results:  
File should be saved to folder on external drive.
