I tried to make two copies of one draft. I sent one. The other disappeared, and my Drafts folder still shows that there is one draft in it. There are none
I had the same problem on my MAC. "My draft folder shows 1 but once opened there was no file. I just right clicked on "mark folder as read" and it removed it.
I right-clicked on the Drafts folder and clicked on Compact. The file came back, but now Drafts displays that there is nothing there. I tried to edit the file, and then saved it. Now everything is fine :)

WMF here on Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1pre) Gecko/20090615 Lightning/1.0pre Shredder/3.0b3pre ID:20090615031842 I think it is only a index issue: rebuilding index (or compact folder) the "ghost" message return. for comment #4 I suppose can close this bug as WFM (or Invalid?).
