User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; U; en) Opera 9.00 Build Identifier: version 3 alpha 1 (20060611) When editing a message filter, in the actions pane, only one action can be set to "Tag Message", despite the fact that messages can (and should be able to) have multiple tags applied. In other words, it's impossible to apply multiple tags to a single message based on a single filter. This behavior is probably a vestigial check from the days of labels, which were mutually exclusive. This appears to be a UI problem only (see below.) Fixing this should be really trivial for somebody familiar with the source base. Reproducible: Always Actual Results: Once one action is set to "Tag Message", the "Tag Message" option is disabled (greyed out.) Expected Results: It should be possible to add mutliple "Tag Message" items. Manually editing ~/.thunderbird/--------.default/ImapMail/---@---.org/msgFilterRules.dat allows multiple tags to be applied. The feature works propperly when this is done (though I wouldn't call the procedure "user friendly.")

In my Thunderbird - version 1.5.0.4 - there is no such thing as "Tag Message" - the closest thing probably being "Label" as the original bug reporter referred to.. However, it is not possible to "Label" a message with multiple Labels even outside of the Message Filters (despite the fact that in reality a message could be both "To Do" *and* "Important" - or many other combination of the existing Labels) Perhaps this bug is no longer relevant?

Andrew: "Tags" are a new feature like labels (actually, they replace labels) and are currently only found in trunk versions of Thunderbird (as far as I know.) Tags are different from labels in two ways: there can be any number of tags, and any number of tags can apply to a message. So, it's not that the bug is no longer relevant, but (for you, running TB 1.5.0.4) the bug is *not yet* relevant. -DS
