Scrolling with the mouse wheel is much slower than other types at the URL

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to the URL
2. Scroll with the wheel
3. Scroll with something else, i.e. arrows, pgup, pgdn, autoscroll, spacebar, etc.

Actual Results:
Scrolling with the wheel is much slower than the other types.

Expected Results:
Scrolling with the wheel should be relatively fast.

I'm using Gentoo with modular Xorg. A friend of mine on Ubuntu Dapper, also using modular Xorg, sees the same problem. Not sure if this is related, I don't have an install that uses Xorg 6.8 to test with.
Probably because it had a fixed background.

I've tested the URL at Bug 90198, and I don't see the same issue I see at I, Cringely, so I'm reopening the bug. I don't have time to narrow this down yet, I'm busy with school for now. Today I tested on a windows box with 1.5 branch and I didn't see this bug there, so I guess it has to do with X, or Linux.

Yesterday I also noticed that the bug seems to only occur if the window is wide enough (say about 1100 pixels or more). So if you are on a similar setup to mine and you can't duplicate this, try widening the window.
Since I reported this bug, I, Cringely has been redone in standard blog format, using what I assume is off the shelf blogging software. As such, the page design is radically different, and I can no longer duplicate this bug, so I'm marking it as invalid.
