341784 - Repeated Back button crashes Firefox [@ nsDOMClassInfo::PreCreate]

I found plenty of reference to this in a bug search, but no obvious solutions. It seems to have started after a Firefox upgrade recently.

Rapid BACK clicking crashes Firefox very consistently. I intend to go back to IE if this can't be fixed soon.



Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Click BACK repeatedly
2.

Actual Results:  
Serious error message. Firefox closes. Error report to Microsoft. Had a download for error reports to Mozilla, but this always came up with a port connection error. Deleted it.




Sometimes this happens while filling out a data form, which of course results in lost data, or a new search for what may have been a difficult one to begin with.

Could you install with talkback and get a talkback ID for the crash? http://kb.mozillazine.org/Talkback

And on a side note, are you using 1.0.* when you're crashing? You really need to test this in 1.5.0.* before it'll be valid.

This has not been happening for a while. I installed a new video driver. That could have been a solution, although it begs the question of why it started all since the previous driver has been in place for a long time. All I can think is a conflict between a Firefox upgrade and the previous driver. S3 Graphics Prosavageddr.

KL, those Talkback IDs don't have symbols. Can you reinstall Firefox and try crashing again?

Eh, what version of FF are you using? Please use the trunk builds.

Well does reinstall add symbols in stacks? I've reinstalled it a couple of times already. Maybe I shouldn't try hourly builds, but I installed a recent nightly to install the Talkback and got these crashes.
