Not by using the menu, Copy Past or mouse drag. All daily version I have tried have this same problem now, which they did not have before. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Click on New Event Actual Results: nothing, just an error message: Error: this.mStartDate has no properties Source File: chrome://calendar/content/calendar-multiday-view.xml Line: 2094 Expected Results: new event dialogue The version I use always worked untill recently. I have been unzipping and trying newer daily versions as well, but kept it completely separately. Can this have anything to do with automatic updates to Firefox or to Thunderbird? As they are updated recently.
It seems that I can add events when in Day View. I do however get a lot of the multiday-view errors and some other strange error: Error: [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80070057 (NS_ERROR_ILLEGAL_VALUE) [calIDateTime.compare]" nsresult: "0x80070057 (NS_ERROR_ILLEGAL_VALUE)" location: "JS frame :: file:///C:/Program%20Files/Mozilla/sunbird/components/calEvent.js :: anonymous :: line 245" data: no] Source File: file:///C:/Program%20Files/Mozilla/sunbird/components/calEvent.js Line: 245
Does this error happen no matter what view is selected when you start-up? (This is the last view you selected the last time you used Sunbird.) I think that could make a difference here. Please also try with a clean profile and see if that helps.
It does not matter which view is selected at start-up. Every time I go into multiday-view I can not add events. I will still try the clean profile option and report back. Do the error messages actually make sense and indicate where the problem might be? Especially the Failure code error seems pretty cryptic to me.
(In reply to comment #3) > It does not matter which view is selected at start-up. Every time I go into > multiday-view I can not add events. > Which view is the 'multiday-view'? (Day, Week, Multiweek, Month) > I will still try the clean profile option and report back. Please do. > > Do the error messages actually make sense and indicate where the problem might > be? Especially the Failure code error seems pretty cryptic to me. > Yeah, somehow the view isn't being initialized. Do you have any preferences set (especially the starting day of the week)?
- The multiday view is the week view - I did managed to get it working again by setting all general view settings back to all days on, start on Sunday and de-selecting the 'workweek-days only' option under the View menu. - It actaully look like this 'workweek-days only' option does not work as it does not change the days in the week view and causes the multiday-view error.
- If I de-select Sunday and Saturday and set first day of the week to Monday. wokrs fine. I do not see Saturday or Sunday. - If I than activate the 'workweek days only' option, I see only Saturday in my week-view. I dont get any error messages. Is this a know / new bug or could this be caused by something else?
Have updated my version to the daily of 25/06/06 and the bug seems to be gone. Still not sure if it was my profile that was messing me around or if this was a real bug that has now been fixed. Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20060625 Sunbird/0.3a2+
