This happens with all file types and in all instances. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Download a file. 2.Right click and select "open in containing folder". Actual Results: The file launched, as if I had clicked open. Expected Results: The folder should have opened which contains the file.
How have you confirmed this is actually a Firefox bug, and not a Vista one? Testing a beta product on a beta product and all that ;)
I guess I have no way of knowing. It may be a Vista bug, but it may just as easily be a different way Vista handles this sort of request which will neccesitate a code change for Firefox in the future.
Confirmed on Windows Vista Beta 2 with Firefox 126.96.36.199.

This works fine in WinXP, so I'm confirming and reassigning to default asignee and QA contact of the component. <- UNCON to NEW <- Version: Trunk
works fine in RC1 using FF 2.0 Beta 2.
