User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.4) Gecko/20060508 Firefox/1.5.0.4
Build Identifier: Firefox/1.5.0.4
Recently Firefox 1.5.0.4 has started to freeze at startup, approx. every 10 launches. At first it could be terminated and usually would start with the second or third try. Now it refuses to be closed period. I have to reboot to stop it just sitting there with the 3 green bars in forcastfox 0.9.2 moving, and everything else frozen. I assume forcastfox is involved in the problem, but I haven't found a way to disable it.(Using Firefox in safemode, without forcastfox works fine). After rebooting, the problem reoccurs 3 or more times before it finally works again. IE always works, however. I thought to unistall Firefox and reinstall it without Forcastfox, but it refuses to uninstall. Using the add/remove feature in control panel, leads to it freezing, and nothing getting uninstalled. I am at a loss.
Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Launch Firefox.
2.Most often it works fine.
3.But every 8 or 10 times or so, it freezes in mid launch, with the 3 green bars of Forcastfox churning, and the program frozen. It no longer responds to commands to terminate ("the program is not responding") and continues to do so indefinately.
Actual Results:
I have to unplug the computer. Reboot and try again. Usually it does the same thing 2 or 3 more times, before working again.
