Using today's commercial build on linux 2000040309 1. Install and launch the browser 2. Open Composer, type some text . 3. Try closing the composer window using 'x' button on top right cornor or using the File->Close menu option. 4. Observe that the browser closes and no File Save Dialog appears.

this gets fixed when turning off CACHE_WIDGET_CHANGES in nsViewManager2.cpp. reassigning to evaughan.

where is the pref to turn on widget caching?
There isn't one. It's a compile-time switch.
Putting on [nsbeta2+] radar. Don't see how this is a smoketest/dogfood type blocker though MUST fix for beta2. shrir, see leger if you disagree.

This could not be reproduced by shrir with final M15. Is this working for M16 too?
worksforme in 4/21 build.
This should only happen if you turn on widget coelescing and it not turned on. I have left this here so when I do turn it on I will know what I have check to make sure things do not break. This is not beta2.
