34341 - Shift-select doesn't work right in mail threaded mode

Using 4/3 M15 build on Windows NT

1. Open three pane mail window
2. Switch to threaded mode in thread pane if not already
3. Open a thread of messages
4. Select bottom-most message in thread
5. Hold down shift key, and click top-most message in thread

Expected: All messages in thread to be selected
Actual: One or two messages selected, others not selected. Pattern is 
non-obvious to me :-)

probably related to http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=33395.  There 
are a few other shift-select bugs assigned to hyatt.
