User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de; rv:1.8.0.4) Gecko/20060508 Firefox/1.5.0.4 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de; rv:1.8.0.4) Gecko/20060508 Firefox/1.5.0.4 I just downloaded Openoffice.org 2.0.3 from Muenchen FTP. Pressed the "Pause"-button but downloading continued. Progress increased from 20% when pressing pause-button to now 100%. Button "Pause" changed to "Fortsetzen" (german Fx version). My impression is that due to the slow connection my PC cannot "eat" all the input in time so that the server is filling up a pipe that is continued to be fed via the line although I said pause. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. download big file (use slow internet connection, e.g. 50 kbit/s) 2. after 20% press pause (NB: different behaviour if pausing after 0.x%; only some further data is read but after 2-3s the transmission is paused) Actual Results: download is not paused Expected Results: download pauses and can be resumed afterwards no theme, extensions: Adblock v.5d3 n43, DOM Inspector 1.8.0.1, Flashblock 1.5.1, SearchPluginHacks 0.1.3, ImageZoom 0.2.5, Dublicate Tab 0.8.1
Reporter, do you still see this problem with the latest Firefox 2? If not, can you please close this bug as WORKSFORME. Thanks!

I just tried it with Fx 2.0.0.4 (and Linux Ubuntu 6.10 ) and it worked fine. But I have to admit that I do not have such a slow internet connection anymore.
