Now, I didn't know whether it was stupid to file a bug for this, but I'm nostalgic about this and it doesn't seem to me (from an interested end-user perspective) to be too hard to implement.
How about preserving the original SeaMonkey artwork from SeaMonkey 1.0 Alpha and before, by putting the image found (with permission from the author) in the program under about:seamonkey, as an easter egg. A bit like about:mozilla.

I wouldn't mind that much myself, but unfortunately this cannot fail to be WONTFIX. So I'll mark it that way myself. Sorry... use it as a wallpaper or a screen saver or something.
