When I surf webpages that uses Java and I switch between tabs or move to a new page, Firefox occasionally stops working properly, i.e. links would not work anymore. I still can switch between already loaded pages but I cannot load new ones. Exiting Firefox closes the windows, though I need to kill it in the task manager to be able to restart.

I could not find a specific Java error that causes the issue and there are no specific sites as far as I am aware. BTW: Java plug-in 1.4.2_03

There were similar errors in the bug list but not specific this case and most of them were classifed WORKSFORME. So if anybody knows a workaround?

Reporter, do you still see this problem with the latest Firefox 2 and the latest Java? If not, can you please close this bug as WORKSFORME. Thanks!

Yes, Firefox 2 and new Java combine fine.
