User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20060713 Minefield/3.0a1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20060713 Minefield/3.0a1 When first installing Firefox beta, it offered to import my bookmarks (et all) from IE6. This process hung (I am not reporting that here) and when I ran Firefox I found that about 1/2 of my bookmarks had successfully been imported. I then used the File->Import function to re-import them, and this time it worked perfectly. HOWEVER, the original install placed the bookmarks in the "root" of the Bookmarks -- that is, the resulting bookmarks appeared directly in the menu. The Import function instead placed them all in a folder called "From Internet Explorer". This is confusing behavior. Reproducible: Always Expected Results: Both the Installer and Importer should place the imported bookmarks in a single place -- I would personally prefer them to appear exactly where they did in IE (in my case, the "root" of the menu).
What version are you reporting a bug on? You say "Firefox beta" which ought to mean 2.0b1, but your UA says you are using a trunk pre-alpha.
