User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8.1b1) Gecko/20060710 Firefox/2.0b1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8.1b1) Gecko/20060710 Firefox/2.0b1 On Firefox 2.0b1 rc3 for the mac, using the keyboard shortcut "command-A" (select all) will occasionally lose its functionality in the location (address) bar. While this bug occurs randomly, it does occur at least once or twice per browsing session from my experience. Restarting the browser fixes the problem. This bug causes an annoyance when attempting to navigate to a new URL and attempting to clear the current URL before typing the new one. This bug was first noticed in Firefox 2.0b1 rc1 for the mac. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1.Click in the location bar. 2.Press the keyboard shortcut command-A. Actual Results: On occasion, the URL will not become selected. Expected Results: The URL should become selected based upon the functionality of the "select all" command.
When this happens, can you still type into the location bar (and search bar)? Can you use other keyboard shortcuts (such as Cmd-N to open a new window)?
Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.8.1.1) Gecko/20061204 Firefox/2.0.0.1 Addons: Firebug 1.0 Google Browser Sync 1.3.200610311.0 Html Validator 0.7.9.5 Live HTTP Headers 0.13.1 Talkback 2.0.0.1 Web Developer 1.1.2 Default Theme I am experiencing this bug regularly. @Uri 1) You can still type in the address bar, and even use delete. Just when you command + a the page contents are selected not the address bar URI, even though the focus is set there. 2) Yes and cmd + t for new tab
Further to this it seems to happen alot on new windows. Workaround: clicking back to an existing [old] window and focus the address bar, and cmd+a. The address will select as expected. Returning to the new window and do the same. This will now work correctly.
