When I paste a large amount of text into a Mail composer window with "Spellcheck As You Type" selected in the Options menu, SeaMonkey locks up (spinning beach ball). The system reports SeaMonkey as "Not Responding."

The text pasted text is around 1,000 lines (with character count ranges of 46,000 - 65,000+)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create new message or reply in Mail
2. Have "Spellcheck As You Type" selected in the Options menu
3. Paste a large amount of text (~1,000 lines)

Actual Results:  
SeaMonkey locks up.

Expected Results:  
SeaMonkey (if it's actually still working) should report progress, warn about pasting a large amount of text, or check the spelling more quickly.

If it's not still working, it should not lock up.

I see something very similar with Seamonkey on Linux.  When pasting text, or even just inserting lines by pressing ENTER, Seamonkey hangs.  It also doesn't matter how much text you paste - just a few lines will do.  Sometimes it recovers in a couple seconds, but usually it doesn't.  My only choice is to kill the process.

However, I didn't realize until seeing this bug that turning off "Spellcheck As You Type" eliminates this problem.  At least now I know how not to lose my emails!

Since this has happened on another architechture, I'm changing Hardware and OS to "All." Has anyone noticed this in Thunderbird?

I'm running "Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8.0.7) Gecko/20060910 SeaMonkey/1.0.5 - Build ID: 2006091003" and haven't noticed this bug after several large text pastes. If no one else has this problem, I'm just going to mark it WFM.

This bug appears to be fixed in Seamonkey 1.1a also.
