Using 2000-04-04-12m15 commercial build on linuz rh6.0
haven't yet tried on all platforms, assuming All

When I get new messages in a threaded view and a new reply to the top level
message is received to a thread which is collapsed in my thread pane display,
the new message will be displayed in duplicate.  Status bar text and message
count for the folder properly show just the "real" retrieved message count, no
duplicates included.

Steps to reproduce:
1.  Open IMAP or POP account, login and get messages.
2.  In the inbox, sort by thread. 
3.  Select a thread in the inbox which has replies. Collapse the thread.
4.  Reply or Reply All to the top level message in the thread, making sure the
current account's user is included in the addressee list. Send the reply.
5.  Get messages (still in threaded sort, thread is still collapsed).
6.  Expand/open the thread to see all messages in the thread.

Note: it may take two or three repeated attempts before duplicates start
appearing.
 
Result:  the new reply(ies) to the top level message in the thread are displayed
in duplicate.

Another scenario, using select inbox folder instead of Get Msg, thread not
collapsed by user:
1.  go to mail, login to IMAP account, select inbox.
2.  sort the inbox by thread
3.  reply or reply all to a message in your inbox which has no replies, making
sure you are included in addressee list.
3a. expand a collapsed thread and reply to the top level message, making sure
you are included in addressee list.
4.  select another folder
5.  now select the inbox again, which will open folder revealing new messages.

Result:  new replies for steps 3 and 3a  will display in duplicate within the
thread pane.

Laurel, does this still happen. We were having some bugs last with with dups in
the folder pane and waterson fixed those so I'm wondering if these went away as
well.

I think it's okay now.  It's very sloooooow getting mail and there's a bunch of
refresh problems, but it looks like I'm only getting one reply.
