Overview Description:
Basically, the progress meter and to some extent the busy animation aren't firing off when they're supposed to. When you hit
enter to load a page nothing happens in those regions.
Steps to Reproduce:
1) Load a page. Page that take longer to laod are easier to watch.
2) Watch the busy animation. Watch the progress meter.
Actual Results:
At some point the progress meter flashes for a split second and sometimes the animated logo will animate for a moment
right before a page finishes laying out. Nothing happens or even starts to happen during the loading of the page. Typically it
appears as if nothing has changed in those areas (even though your page just loaded and layed out)
Expected Results:
Progress meter and Animated logo get busy as soon as i click.
Build Date & Platform Bug Found:
I've seen this on the 2000040410 Mac build and the 2000040409 linux build. NO stable Win build to test with yet.
Additional Information:
A good way to see this is to try yeterday's builds. There is a marked difference in the behavior from 04/03/2000 to today.

This is blocking the performance testing, since the "Document Done" message and
timing information is not being displayed.
Steps:
1) Try using the url http://slip/paulw and click on frameset.
2) Let the page load. It will usually not finish.
3) Then click the back button and select longtable.
4) Most of the time the page will not load.
Seems to be more sever on the Mac.

I didn't check anything in since Friday which might have affected page loads. I
know that timeouts don't work on reads.
Actually I don't see anything wrong now. The page loads. Notifications are
getting fired. It takes forever to render, but I don't understand what's wrong
from necko's point of view. Gagan? Can you take a look - it may be invalid.

I'm still seeing this behavior especially when accessing slip.
shrir@netscape.com is also seeing this behavior on Windows NT

I agree with Paul, the "Document:done' and the secs taken to load a page do not
show up. Also the progress meter does othing wen I hit ENTER after typing a url.
I have to hit ENTER 2-3 times for the throbber and progress bar to move. I see
it on today's windows build also and it is affecting my performance testing.
