When using createElement to insert an element before another element, and there is an adjacent sibling selector, this selector is never functional.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a webpage using this functionality
Actual Results:  
The selector was not matched, and the style as a result was not updated

Expected Results:  
Selector should have matched, and style altered.
