Cannot logon to more than 1 Yahoo email Account at the same time. Firefox allows me to open a new tab or a new window but while on the new tab or new window I cannot any other Yahoo email Account other than the original one I logged onto. For example: I successfully logon onto my Yahoo email account, "vtimbermail" and enter my password. Then I open a new tab (or new window, it does not matter), and I attempt to logon to my Yahoo email account "vtimberresume". Unfortunately, Firefox will let me do this....I am forced by Firefox to logon to my "vtimbermail" account in the new tab (or window) so that I now have two instances of the SAME Yahoo email account running.
IE allows me to open multiple windows and have up multiple Yahoo email accounts at one time....however, I don't like Microsoft and prefer not to use their software where possible. This bug however, forces me to use IE instead of Firefox.
Help....thank you,
Val
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Establish two or more Yahoo email accounts
2. Double click on FireFox
3. On the first tab (or window) logon to your 1st Yahoo email account by going to http://mail.yahoo.com/, entering your userid and password.
4. Once completely logged onto your 1st Yahoo email account on tab 1, Open a second tab (or window)
5. Attempt to logon to a new Yahoo email account by going to http://mail.yahoo.com/, entering your userid and password.
6. One of two things will now occur - I have been unable to determine what conditions causes what bug to occur at a given time.
BUG #1: The first thing that might occur when you attempt to logon to a new Yahoo email account is another screen will come up that asks you to confirm your email password for the 1st account already entered on the 1st tab. When you do confirm your password you are logged onto your ORIGINAL email account. Now you have two tabs logged onto the same Yahoo email account even though you attempted to logon onto your 2nd Yahoo email account.
BUG #2: The 2nd thing that might occur when you attempt to logon to your new (2nd) Yahoo email account is you will be taken immediately from the Yahoo logon screen directly into the 1st Yahoo email account HOWEVER, even though you are looking at the email for your 1st Yahoo the Yahoo's "WELCOME" line says you are logged onto the 2nd Yahoo email account.
7. The "WELCOME" line bug seems to be in Yahoo itself HOWEVER, the fact I am still logged onto my 1st Yahoo email Account in the 2nd tab is a bug in FireFox.
Actual Results:
See "Steps to Reproduce" for these results
Expected Results:
I expect to be able to logon onto more than 1 Yahoo email account on different tabs (or windows).
