Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.4) Gecko/20060508 Firefox/1.5.0.4
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.4) Gecko/20060508 Firefox/1.5.0.4

When Sunbird is launched via a Windows shortcut, it does not respect the RUN preference specified in the shortcut.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1 - Create a shortcut to launch Sunbird.
2 - Right-click the shortcut. Select Properties.
3 - Set the RUN preference to Minimize or Maximize. Save the shortcut.
4 - Run Sunbird via the shortcut. Sunbird ignores the shortcut's RUN pref.
Actual Results:
Sunbird ignored the shortcut's RUN pref.

Expected Results:
Sunbird to respect the shortcut's RUN pref. For example, if the pref is set to Minimized, Sunbird should start minimized.
Status: UNCONFIRMED → NEW
Ever confirmed: true
In my opinion this Bug is invalid. Sunbird does not known about the shortcut settings that are handled by Windows OS. At the moment Sunbird behaves like other application, e.g. Opera, Firefox, or Windows Calculator.
Nevertheless, if this bug is treated valid it's a core or toolkit problem.
Dupe of bug 40853, which is a dupe of bug 220546
