Also, the search box seems missing.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.run updater on nightly build from 7/25 to 7/26
2.start Thunderbird
3.observe behavior

Actual Results:  
same as in details

Expected Results:  
no gray box

I am not seeing the search box on top right.

I had the nightly tester tools 1.1 and tbStats extensions installed and running at the time I first saw it. I disabled, and it still shows.

Error is present with a brand-new TB profile: Start TB, cancel the setup-new-account dialog, error appears at bottom of screen.

Looking for hourly Thunderbird builds, but the latest was almost 4 hours ago at http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/thunderbird/tinderbox-builds/patrocles-mozilla1.8/

The 9:00 build there didn't fix the issue.

Was this fix checked in, and is there a more recent source for us to check?

verified fixed 1.8.1.3 using Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.2; en-US; rv:1.8.1.3) Gecko/20070326 Thunderbird/2.0.0.0 Mnenhy/0.7.5.0 ID:2007032620 - no gray box below.
