User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.8.0.5) Gecko/20060719 Firefox/1.5.0.5 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.8.0.5) Gecko/20060719 Firefox/1.5.0.5 The page above will not render correctly with 1.5.0.5. First time I loaded it it also completely crashed Windows GDI. The page renders fine with Opera 9 & IE 6. It looked like a java issue; each time the page starts loads correctly then at the end of loading it gets large grey square boxes all down the page. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open FF 1.5.0.5 2. Go to url above 3. Wait for page to finish loading Actual Results: The first time I got Windows gdi crash messages & the system froze. On reboot the system no lonfer froze on that page but each time the page starts loads correctly then at the end of loading it gets large grey square boxes all down the page. Expected Results: Normal page view This just started after going from 1.5.0.4 to 1.5.0.5. I've only been to a fw pages so far; I suspect more will duplicate the problem.
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8.0.5) Gecko/20060719 Firefox/1.5.0.5 URL WFM, webpage is rendered in its entirety. Also, there doesn't appear to be any java on that page. Probably a dupe of a bug to do with the rendering of very long webpage. Reporter, when firefox crashed, did talkback appear and ask you to submit crash data? And if so, what is the TalkbackID for this crash?
No, taklback did not come up because the pc completely froze the 1 time it crashed. The first time it happened, the entire pc completely froze & had to be manually rebooted. I tried the page again after rebooting. It didn't crash the machine, but after loading the page, the gray boxes appeared. Sorry I don't have any screen cap software to show you. In the distant past, boxes that looked like that tended to be a java issue. I just upgraded my second machine to 1.5.0.5 & the problem with the large gray boxes reproduced on that machine also. I am using Win 98 Se; wondering if that is part of the problem. So far, it's only occurred on that 1 page. Again, the page does render fine on Opera 9 & IE 6 on the same 2 machines. That is a site I've visited frequently with previous versions of FF.
(In reply to comment #0) > The first time I got Windows gdi crash messages what was the exact text of the gdi crash message? do you still see any aspect of this problem - crash or improper rendering?
