Description

User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 5.1)
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.2) Gecko/20060725 Firefox/1.5.0.2

the installer gets stuck with the following error.. i created this installer from the source which is compiled locally on my machine.. i created the installer by issuing the command make installer in browser/installer/windows/ directory.. and the make says that it has created the installer and placed in {sea/stub}.. i got a copy of the insataller from the cd directory and tried to install which gives the error mentioned above..

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.create installer by issing the command make browser/installer/windows/ installer
2.copy the installer from the sea directory located in /dist/install/
3.run the installer.. and accept either standard or custom installation.

Actual Results:
i got a dialog sayin the error
"Error occured during installation- Cross Platform COM: -322 INIT_STUB_ERROR"

Expected Results:
should have installed cleanly but i donno if i m missin some information..
no proper documenttaion can be found regarding this...

the source is compiled with visual studio 6.0 sp5 and processor pack and masm32.. i have set the path to 7zip UPX and NSIS as suggested by someone..
i even tried the same config with firefox 1.0.7 and 1.5.0.1.. but in vain.. it would be appreciated if someone give clear steps to create installer for the locally buld firefox ..or even steps to create a NSIS installer or MSI would be appreciated..
