When I attempt to logon I get this mgs: "can't find server en-us.start.mozilla.com"

This problem started after I received a mgs saying a new firefox version was ready to download.  I downloaded and rebooted and problem started.  I've read that sever (many?) other users are having the same problem but have come across no solutions.

You need to teach your firewall about the Firefox update
