Build Identifier: Foxfire 2.0b1
I have tried multiple times to get Firefox to do it every time but every time is like it's the first time. I tried to set the preferences and it doesn't remember the application. In preferences you can set it and it looks like it is going to work but then close the prefs and it forgets!
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Try to download a .QBO or .IIF file you will see
2.
3.
Actual Results:
You actually have to select the application every time
Expected Results:
The file would download and go into Quickbooks
Whatever you did to Camino do here because it work in Camino.

Reporter, do you still see this problem with the latest Firefox 2? If not, can you please close this bug as WORKSFORME. Thanks!

Yes it does still happen. In Camino, I click download and it automatically downloads to Quickbooks. In Firefox a popup asks the same question every time and doesn't show Quickbooks as the open with application, it asks me to choose. I have the box checked asking it to "do this automatically." It does not, I always have the extra step of having to click okay.

I have a similar problem with .pdf files and Adobe Acrobat Pro 7.0.9 I think I've also had the problem with .jpg and .doc files, using Photoshop Elements and MS Word, respectively as the desired default applications. Whether I check the checkbox "Do same thing with all files of this type" or set the desired action in Preferences, every download is like the first time, and I have to select OK or sometimes search up the desired application.
