I have been using Mozilla Firefox for a long time now and just recently updated to the newest version of Mozilla Firefox. Once it updated, I can't access the Internet through Mozilla Firefox. I can access it through Internet Explorer and Avant Browser, but when I try to open any webpage in Mozilla, it shows me:
Unable to connect

Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at en-us.start.mozilla.com.

    * The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
          moments.

    * If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
          connection.

    * If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

I have uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled it and still nothing happens. I have even gone back and reinstalled older versions of Firefox. Still nothing happens.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Firefox.
2. Shows the 'Problem loading page' page.
3. Open another internet browser, no problem.
4. Repair internet connection, restart internet connection.
5. Repeat steps 1-3.
Firewall software on your computer is blocking Firefox from connecting to the internet. See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Error_loading_any_website for more information.

I checked the firewall software on my computer. I am currently using PC-illin 2006, so I checked the programs that are allowed to access the Internet. Firefox was ticked on the list, alongside IE and Avant Browser. I then checked my firewall settings on my control panel. Firefox was also ticked as an exception and allowed to access the Internet.

I also followed the steps listed in the link you provided me. I am still unable to access the internet through Firefox.

The exception you see listed in your firewall is bound to the older version. Removing the exception entirely and replacing it is often required. Please see the MozillaZine forums (http://forums.mozillazine.org/) should you require further support.
