Really, A>Z sounds clearer to me, especially for non-technical people.

I'm guessing we want this for ff-2 parity?

You don't need ui-r for ui-parity bugs.

You don't rename entities in NPOB UI.

i also agree with comment 1 and suggest wontfix or fix labels from "A > Z Sort Order" to "A to Z Sort Order" to avoid confusion with ">" sign
Whiteboard: [Fx2-parity] → [Fx2-parity] wontfix?
I agree with comments #1 and #5, esp the part about fixing the ">" sign.

Also, I'd like to know what other browsers do for sort indicators.

Not going to mark WONTFIX; instead going to change the bug summary to describe only the problem.
Summary: A > Z Sort Order is confusing, should be Ascending/Descending → A > Z Sort Order is confusing
Whiteboard: [Fx2-parity] wontfix? → [Fx2-parity]
Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h".

In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows:
Tools | Message Filters
Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New"
Conditions: Body contains places-to-b-and-h
Change the action to "Delete Message".
Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top.
Click OK.

Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter.
