User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.6) Gecko/20060728 Firefox/1.5.0.6 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.6) Gecko/20060728 Firefox/1.5.0.6 The tabbed browsing feature should allow individual resizing of each tab window. This will allow the user to view web pages at different resolutions without resizing their main browser window or opening pages in new browser windows. It will also simplify "tabbing" between web pages that might require different page sizes to look good. Reproducible: Always
Marking this as a WONTFIX because fixed tab width was done intentionally and its not likely that this will be changed anytime soon. Please re-mark if you think I'm wrong (there are probably extensions for this anyway). :)

If I understand you correctly by "fixed tab width" you mean the width of the actual tabs you click on to switch between web pages? I wasn't thinking of the size of the actualt tabs, but rather the window in which a web page is rendered when you click on a given tab. When browsing multiple web pages that may require different screen/page resolutions it becomes quite tedious to resize the windows each time you switch pages. Of course you can open each page in a new browser window, but then it's not tabbed browsing anymore. If a sizer grip was added to the lower right corner of each window it would allow the user to resize the web page on each tab individually (leaving blank/white space on the bottom and to the right of the page when it was made smaller than the browswer window itself.)

Ever confirmed: true
This isn't something that would be useful to most people. It could be easily implemented as an extension, though.
