User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1b1) Gecko/20060803 BonEcho/2.0b1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1b1) Gecko/20060803 BonEcho/2.0b1 Firefox (1.8 branch, starting with about 1 August 2006 nightly) hangs on Linux when loading a page with a shortcut icon from the local filesystem. The hang does not occur if the shortcut icon is not found or if the same files are loaded via http. Hang occurs in safe mode and with my usual profile. A testcase will be attached. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Get page with shortcut icon on filesystem. (Will attach.) 2. Load page using address bar. 3. Actual Results: Firefox hangs while still showing previous page (unresponsive, no pre-light on icons, etc) Expected Results: See new page.

The bug has occurred with a particular version of Linux. Should a bug be resolved WORKSFORME if it does not occur on a particular tester's system? That said, after updating my OS the bug no longer occurs.
