It's not a regression from the theme refresh but from bug 341902. It's being handled there.

I tested the patch in bug #341902, and you are right.

I've just landed the patch in bug #341902 on the branch, so this is now fix.

if your screen shot is concerning the feed icon / livemark icon, that is bug #347435
