When changing pages, sending mail, or just browsing on almost any site, the browser will hang-up forcing me to repeatedly hit reload. This occured after teh last automatic update on Fri Aug 4 2006. I was also very uspet that this update autoinstalled Google toolbar and reset all of my sessionsaver settings. No I do not want to help Google keep statsics on what I do!!!! Nor do I want my settings reset!!! As a further note, I feel that the default setting of your software should be to ask before installing updates for obvious reasons.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1.The problem is unpredictable but common 10% of the time.
2.
3.

Actual Results:
Go from page to page until it hangs/

Expected Results:
The loading progress bar stops and the animated circle just spins.

Completed loading the page.
Please retest with disabled extensions or with a new profile.
Firefox downloaded from the official site http://www.mozilla.com/ has no Google Toolbar included as far as I know.

As to the Google toolbar issue - The Google toolbar appeared after an auto-update. I recieved a message that said you have a new update would like it installed now or later. I selected later. It replied the update will be installed the next time you open Firefox. The next time the first thiong that happened was that I recieved a thank you for installing teh Google Toolbar and I was asked if I would like to help Firefox and Google improve Googles search capabilities by provding statistics of my search habits. I of course said no and immediately uninstalled the Google toolbar. Further my other setting and extensions in Firefox had been erased.

But this was just offensive and irritating. The main problem is that web pages are not always loading, especially flash pages with popups. About 25% of teh time these hang and have to be repeatedly refreshed to get them to load. About 10% of the time other pages hang while loading. I tired the lastest build and the same behavior is exihibited.
Reporter, do you still see this problem with Firefox 2.0? If not, can you please close this bug as WORKSFORME. Thanks!
