Why does it not recognize that the update was installed months ago? Reproducible: Always
I suspect the update isn't installing at all, hence the User-Agent and Build-Identifier in your comment being for v1.5. Most probably some of the files it needs to update are in use. Please attach C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\updates\last-update.log to this bug, and we can figure out what the problem is.
