User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.6) Gecko/20060728 Firefox/1.5.0.6
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.6) Gecko/20060728 Firefox/1.5.0.6
I'm not sure if this was reported previous (apologies if it was) and if I've
described the issue properly. When my notebook is not connected to the internet, when I start up firefox I always get some blank lines/space between the window
frame and the status bar.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. make sure PC/notebook is off line i.e. Ethernet/Wi-Fi not enabled
2. start firefox 1.5.0.6
3. I see empty wasted spaces at the bottom of the window
I've captured a screen shot of the problem. Can upload the picture if you
require it.

It looks like a malfunctioning extension.
Have you tried to reproduce the problem with disabled extensions?
Or with a Firefox reinstall in a new clean directory? First delete the Mozilla Firefox folder manually.

Yeah, one of your extensions is breaking chrome. If you state in safe mode does this still happen? http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode

Yup thanks Adam. Tried starting firefox in safe mode and the problem is not
there. Looks like I've to hunt for that misbehaving extensions. Thanks again.

Because I'm anal, I'm reopening this to re-resolve it as INVALID, since the issue wasn't a bug in Firefox. (We reserve FIXED for bugs that were fixed by patches going in. Yes, I know it's a bit confusing to new users... we should document it...)
