This is a followup to bug 348946, which hid the dropmarker entirely in customize mode.

Instead, we should probably just disable it, especially if bug 347616 lands and makes it non-native; then the change in customize mode will just look odd.

This is a problem that is only present on the 1.8 branch (on trunk builds the drop down becomes unclickable) and to the best of my understanding is caused by an issue with the deck widget that was added to the url bar as part of bug 337427.

Is that still a valid bug ?
In current builds of Firefox, the dropdown indicator is not hidden when customizing - it's disabled instead.
