Switching between portrait and landscape in print preview does not change the orientation. Which orientation you are stuck on may depend on what your settings are. At work I'm stuck on landscape but at home I'm stuck on portrait. I haven't tried actually printing anything so I don't know if this affects printing itself as well. This has been always a cairo problem because I went back and found this problem in the cairo nightly builds in late February.

Printing (at least without preview) seems to work as desired...
printing should work -- this is broken due to some really broken print preview apis
I didn't notice when this changed but looking today due to bug 372838 I see that this appears to work.
